Overall rating

This game has a lot of flaws and is a bit rough around the edges, but the amazing and intriguing world, level design and story made up for all of the negatives. I was completely sucked into exploring the world and mystery of Trappist-1d and it inhabitants. This is an indie game and it certainly plays like it but it also plays like a game that had a lot of thought and time put into its creation. With some polishing, this could easily be a 85 -90 rated game. ***** At the time of this review, I had completed the game. *****
The good
  • Captivating and compelling story that kept me playing until the end.
  • Story connects to famous alien sightings in Earth's history!
  • Beautifully crafted and unique alien world to explore.
  • Great level designs with each level being different and unique from the last.
  • Nothing all that difficult or frustrating. Fitting for a story driven game like this.
The bad
  • There are some blurry textures and the game is poorly optimized (was struggling to load some areas even with a 3080 graphics card). This is a shame because the world is so unique and beautiful.
  • Screenshots are taken with a single button press which makes it very easy to accidently take pictures without meaning to.
  • Weapon holster on your back has a very small activation spot that took me over half the game before I was able to consistently hit it.
  • Only one enemy type and hits don't always register. (Worth mentioning but not the main focus of the game)
